A veritable who’s who of Pinoy music will be at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, July 8 for Apl.de.ap Takes You to the Philippines – Celebrate Global Filipino Music. The show will feature Pinoy pop, hip-hop, and original Pinoy music. Among those joining Apl.de.ap are fellow Black Eyed Peas Taboo and will.i.am, Legaci, and Nicole Scherzinger, with hosts Vanessa Hudgens, Jo Koy, and Anthony Valadez. [Hollywood Bowl]
The Seattle Asian American Film Festival is accepting submissions, looking for “films and videos that are made by or about Asian Americans and Asians of any nationality.” The deadline for submissions is August 30. [seattleaaff.org]
