Pretty Buoys
Anyway, we like Pretty Buoyant Society (and, okay, we’ve only heard two tracks so far, but they are hot) because they’re funny, bizarre, sexy, synthetic. And because their debut single, “Schizophrenic Love” (which features femme fatale Golda Supernova) makes us dance and inspires us to do funky stuff.
Put it all together, and it kinda makes us curious… Are our pals in P.B.S. the next Ween or the next N.E.R.D.? Are the laughs meant to mask the genius? Is it dirty or is it nice? Is it good or is it fuckin’ great?
I think I know the answer to that last question, actually.

This week, we’d like to wish a happy 35th birthday to N.E.R.D./The Neptunes’ producer/songwriter/musician/Renaissance Man Chad Hugo!
How will he celebrate the big event? Bottle service somewhere sexy-sexy? Dinner and a dance at home with the wife?
We hope that he’ll ring in the new year by growing his hair out again (‘cuz he looks friggin’ hawt with a coif) and inviting us to his major rager, before producing the first DISGRASIAN hit rekkid (If you’re reading, Chad: Don’t worry, Jen can actually sing!).

We love a cute R-and-Beat-boy more than a fat kid loves cake. And Yeo– with his funky guitar, sweet synthesized harmonies, and gently lulling vox–is no exception. Clever as N.E.R.D., smooth as Ne-Yo, funnier than them all, Yeo seems to have it all… plus, with slick sneakerhead style like that, how can we resist?
