Known for: becoming the first Japanese man to win an ATP title in 16 years by beating James Blake 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in the Delray Beach International Championships final on Sunday, winning eight consecutive matches before that, being the youngest player to win a title since Lleyton Hewitt did it in ’98, movin’ on up in the rankings from 244 to 122, hitting “cold winners.”
