DISGRASIAN OF THE WEAK: Zi Beijia

July 20th, 2007 | 0 comments | Posted by Diana

Zi Beijia, the reporter responsible for the now-ubiquitous falsified report (above) on cardboard being used in Beijing street food, has been arrested by Chinese police. The arrest provides only some satisfaction for the many people who were duped by the report and were forced to reckon with the hurricane of retractions, shame, and humiliasian that resulted: well, US for starters…and Beijing TV, and China, and Asia, and news outlets around the world who were all suckered by the falsehoods. And innocent citizens around everywhere!

I did a little rummaging around and found a few people who have some words to share with the guilty “reporter.” Observe:

“Stop copying.”

“Those are LIES, Zi Beijia.”

“You’re a Towel!

“Wow, dude. That was really fucked up.”

“Are you for cereal?”

“You’re a liar!”
