He’s Out of My Life: Goodbye, Michael Jackson?
We’ve lost a lot of stars this week to that great walk of fame in the sky (R.I.P. Ed and Farrah).
But I wasn’t ready for the emotional blow that accompanied today’s announcement of Michael Jackson’s cardiac arrest, resulting coma and death.
Jackson is the reason that a perfect stranger sang “Dirty Diana” to me over morning coffee, why I danced under a restaurant awning at lunch–and why I feel shocked and empty now.
Say what you will about the man–he was the greatest performer that ever was, and a bearer of some shames we may never understand–he will never be forgotten.

Why He’s a Babe: Last week, the top 20 SYTYCD finalists were announced, and Alex, who was considered one of the top contestants, would have been among them, but the Miami City Ballet refused to let him out of his contract–boo!–which made Alex cry, because, to paraphrase Don Henley, all he wants to is dance. And that kind of commitment to his craft is beautiful.
More importantly…look at those abs. Lick at those abs. What’s really a crying shame is that America doesn’t get to see more of that.

Known for: Being called the “hardest boy” in his group by ABDC judge Lil Mama; being known as”the deaf guy” and “the Asian guy” of the A.S.I.I.D. dance crew (who was sadly voted off last week) until people saw his moves, the pure joy with which he dances, and that smile, which transcended the competition, his ethnicity, and even his disability; rocking a FilipiFro (Filipino ‘fro).

Word on the street is that hip-hop-heavenly Tae Yang–originally known as YB from Korean quintet Big Bang– has released his first solo mini-album, entitled “HOT.”
Um, see those abs? I think the release is aptly titled. That shit is sizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzling.
And I’ve figured out how he keeps his tummy that way. Check out his bomb-ass moves below, in the video for “Prayer” featuring Teddy.
