Porn, Murder, A Police Standoff: Just Another Weekend In L.A.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the vast array of whatthefuckery here:
There’s a porn actor named Stephen Hill (professional name: Steve Driver). Here’s his MySpace. Less than a month ago, he had listed his mood as “good.” And here he is, posing with what appears to be a samurai sword (photo via CBS News’ Crimesider):
As a result of a workplace dispute which results in Hill’s firing and eviction, Hill attacks one of his colleagues Tuesday night at a social gathering in the San Fernando Valley in LA, aka Porn Valley, with…a samurai sword that was a movie prop.
Fellow porn actor Herbert Wong (professional name: Tom Dong, pictured below), who had appeared in at least two films with Hill, steps in to help the person Hill is attacking and is fatally stabbed by Hill in the abdomen.
Hill flees the scene and evades authorities until Saturday, when he’s spotted on a cliff in West Hills, also in the Valley. An eight hour-standoff ensues in which Hill threatens to kill himself while holding the pointy part of what appears to be the murder weapon to his chest. The police eventually tase Hill, and what happens next is murky, but he either falls or jumps 40 feet to his death. (The police say “jumps.”)
The standoff and Hill’s fall–i.e. the last acts in the life of a man trying to achieve some measure of fame in front of the camera–are captured on film by local news crews.

I only spoke to Tom Dong briefly, but I was still saddened by his death. He seemed like such a quiet and normal guy.
I feel guilty for passing up the chance to interview him for my site.
Most people scoff at people in the adult industry, but we’re humans just like everyone else. He has family and friends that are mourning.

yes, and he also intervened and saved coworkers during another altercation in the same studio with a UFC fighter/ Porn Actor flew into a rage.
That was just the kinda guy he was.
