New Yawkers/Angelenos, Time To Hit The Thea-tuh [Children Of Invention Theatrical Debut]
Remember Tze Chun’s film, Children of Invention–the one that racked up all those awards and accolades during the festival rounds last year? It’s hitting theaters in New York and Los Angeles for a week, starting tonight.

Children of Invention: Two kids are left to fend for themselves after their mom gets thrown in the clink for participating in an illegal pyramid scheme.
Both cities offer Q&A sessions with filmmaker and talent. See showtimes below:

Look, we know everyone’s busy… but there’s a small window (barely a week!) to see this film in the theater and prove that we’re willing to put our money where our mouths are in supporting the Asian American film community. So lez do it! More screenings occuring across the country are listed here.
Most importantly, the movie is awesome. You definitely want to see it. View the official trailer here.
Alrighty then, see you all at the theat-uh! We’ll be the girls in the back with popcorn all over the front of our shirts.

I believe White on Rice opened with Children of Invention over the weekend. I’m so glad these two movies are getting more exposure.
