Occupation: Film Director
Known for: having a movie Midas touch.
Sure, you may know him for some of his previous work: Better Luck Tomorrow, Annapolis, or Finishing the Game–but we’re simply focused, at the moment, on his crowning achievement: The Fast and the Furious Franchise.
How could Universal (or Jen, for that matter) have gotten through 2006 without The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, a movie so addictive and rad that even my tech-iest tech-head friend, who hates sports cars and refuses to own any films on DVD, actually happens to own one DVD–and that’s the one.
Installment four (inventively titled Fast & Furious) of the very fast, very furious films rocketed to the number one spot at the box office this weekend, racking in 2009′s highest haul thus far of $72.5 million. YEEEOWZA. That’s some money, hunny!
Hate or love the movies, you’ve gotta hand it to Lin for doing his part to stimulate this economy!
