Bollywood’s Salman Khan was reportedly mobbed by fans as he arrived in Jodphur, India to be sentenced with 5 years of imprisonment for illegal poaching.
He is appealing the case, but the sentence seems to only be the beginning of his legal woes: he was sentenced for killing two protected black buck antelopes during a separate hunting trip, and faces trial for a 2002 hit-and-run case.
BBC News reports on the hit-and-run incident:
One person was killed and three others injured when Khan allegedly drove into a group of homeless people sleeping on a pavement.
Khan faces 10 charges, including causing death by negligent driving which carries two years in prison. He has pleaded not guilty on all counts.
Uh, Note to fans in Jodphur: This animal killer doesn’t sound like a stand-up dude. If you mob him, probably more apropos to punch his lights out than request his autograph.
