A few days ago, Amnesty International called out China and Russia as the top two weapons suppliers to Sudan, helping fuel violence in Darfur and neighboring Chad.
In an attempt to save face, China, which buys 2/3 OF SUDAN’S OIL exports, is now leaning on Sudan to accept a hybrid African Union-UN Peacekeeping force to contain violence in Darfur. At least 200,000 people have died since 2003 in the conflict.
Hey, China. You buy 2/3 of Sudan’s exported oil? Lean harder.
